Our Programs

Gym Tots (ages 2-3)

  • Boys
  • Girls

Our Gym Tot program is designed for boys and girls ages 2 to 3 with an adult. Our goal at Head Over Heels Gymnastics is to not only introduce basic gymnastic skills, but also build strength, coordination and self- confidence through exploration and the use of specialized preschool gymnastics equipment. Using children’s natural love of learning, our instructors incorporate a range of activities focusing on both body awareness and gymnastics skills.  Our tots will learn the basics of both forward and backwards rolls and the beginning progressions for cartwheels and handstands.  They also learn to share with new friends and participate in a group environment.

This is an interactive class where the adult has an opportunity to assist their child throughout the class and be an extra set of eyes and hands for the teacher. Our progressive lesson plans work to develop both fine and gross motor skills taking into account the children’s size and developmental readiness.

Gym Kids (ages 3-4)

  • Boys
  • Girls

Run, Jump, Tumble, Climb, & Roll!

The Gymkids program is for boys and girls ages 3 & 4. Each class begins with a fun warm-up and then moves to the gymnastics equipment where children begin learning basic gymnastics skills and work on both fine and gross motor skills. This class will focus on developmentally appropriate skills and learning utilizing our whole gym.    The classes are fun and energetic and include various theme weeks throughout the year!  These classes are 45 minutes long and are offered in the morning and some afternoons.

Girls Recreational Gymnastics (ages 5-10)

  • Girls

We offer recreational gymnastics for girls from beginner levels through advanced.  Our classes are fun, structured, skill-based and follow the guidelines set forth by the governing body of USA Gymnastics.  These classes help gymnasts gain strength, flexibility, coordination and self esteem.  Whether your child is just starting out or already has gymnastics experience, our instructors modify our lesson plans to best suit your child’s capabilities.

Classes are grouped by age and ability, starting at Level 1, a student with little to no experience, and are 1 hour long.

Boys Classes

Our Boys classes use the fundamentals of gymnastics to teach kids how to safely run, jump, swing, twist, flip, and climb!  Besides gaining strength and flexibility, they will learn skills that lead to success both in and out of the gym.  Our boys classes utilize the traditional men’s gymnastics equipment such as the floor, vault, high bar, pommel horse, still rings, and parallel bars as well as our trampolines and tumble-trak tumbling strip. Not only do our boys classes learn the basics of the traditional men’s equipment but they also engage in obstacle courses, ninja-style challenges and cooperative, team-building games.

Classes are grouped by age and ability and are 1 – 2 hours long.

Advanced (ages 7+)

  • Boys
  • Girls

Advanced classes run for 90 or 120 minutes and are designed for older gymnasts who have already mastered the basic and intermediate skills.

Girls Beginner & Intermediate, (ages 10+)

  • Girls

These classes run for 60, 75, or 90 minutes, and are grouped by age and ability. These classes are designed for older students and will cater to their individual gymnastics needs. As always, the classes will focus on strength, flexibility, endurance, and of course, gymnastics!

Trampoline & Tumbling

  • Boys
  • Girls

This class is a multi-level tumbling class, designed for students who just love to flip! It is geared towards each tumbler’s individual abilities. Students in this program will use the trampoline, tumble track, spring floor, air floor, and foam pit. They will perform strength and flexibility exercises that will help build their tumbling fundamentals, while learning new skills and improving their old tricks! This program is great for students who are looking to work on their cartwheels, round-offs, back handsprings and other skills necessary for try-outs and competitions.
