Patty

Owner - Program Directer - Junior Olympic Team Directer

Coming from a family who has a strong gymnastics background, I always knew I wanted to open my own gym and coach gymnastics. Growing up, my mother was a gymnastics judge and my sister and I were both big into gymnastics. Being surrounded by the sport early on led me and my sister to both fall in love with it and continue with it into adulthood. My sister opened Head Over Heels in NJ in 1987 and I followed in her footsteps opening Head Over Heels in MA in 1997. I was a competitive gymnast for over 10 years in both the USA Gymnastics program and for Weymouth High School. I have had the pleasure of coaching gymnastics since 1987, and have experience coaching all levels – from preschool and recreational classes, developmental programs and competitive teams. I have had State, Regional, and National competitors with numerous achievements over the years. I am excited everyday to get to share what I love with the staff and gymnasts that enter Head Over Heels, and look forward to watching more amazing athletes grow up in our program.

USA Gymnastics Professional Member, USAG Safety Certified, National and Regional Congress attendee, Regional Clinician, First Aid/CPR/AED certified, Meet Director certified, USAG Preschool Fundamentals certified, Skill Evaluator certified.

Team Coach

Born and raised in Chatham, MA, I began my gymnastics career at the age of three at Cape Cod Gymnastics. I progressed through the USAG JO program, and in 1996 competed in level 10 Regionals. I was recruited to the University of Vermont, a division one collegiate gymnastics program. There, I broke top-ten all-time records on bars, floor, vault and AA, and was voted co-captain both Junior and Senior years. I graduated with a B.A. in English.

A few fun facts about me are that I have an extensive background in ballet, and from 2004-2008 I co-founded a hip hop/jazz dance group in which I choreographed, produced and performed in and around the Boston area. I have 20 years experience as a (non-sanctioned) gymnastics official and in 2015 I began choreographing JO and Xcel floor routines.

I began coaching at HOH in 2022, and I really enjoy developing connections with the gymnasts, guiding them through mental hurdles, and working with them on their artistry.

I currently reside in Hingham with my husband, three children and our labradoodle. In my free time I enjoy volunteering in my community. My hobbies include baking, art, traveling with my family, dance, gardening, reading and any or all forms of sports/ exercise.
